Nicola Stoddart BSc

Nicola qualified as a physiotherapist (Bsc Hons) from Glasgow Caledonian
University in 2014. She joined our team at CSOM in 2016, prior to this she
had worked as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist within a rehabilitation and
sports clinic while also working for the Scottish football association.
Additionally she held the position of lead field hockey physiotherapist at
both a national and international level for Ulster hockey and within the
European hockey league (team IRE). Her experience of sports specific rehab
was further broadened via her work in semi professional Men's Rugby in
Scotland (Glasgow Hawks Rugby). Nicola also took on the exciting role of
Physiotherapist for team Landrover BAR during their preparations and
throughout their participation in the Americas Cup 2017. Being an
enthusiastic sports person, Nicola has always had an interest in the role of
physiotherapy in injury prevention and recovery. Her personal sports include
Field Hockey, long distance running, cycling and swimming. Nicola has
special interests in sports specific biomechanics, kinematic analysis, and
strength and conditioning. Her main areas of expertise include: medical
acupuncture,dry needling, running analysis/ injury prevention and recovery,
and myofascial release. Her ultimate drive is to empower her patients to
achieve their maximum potential and attain their personal goals.
